From US 271 take Farm Rd 906 thru Chicota, turn South on Farm Rd 197 & turn east on CR 35840 for 2 miles, which turns into 𝑷𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒔 E Park Rd. It has ample signage, but no camp entry station, & only 2 loops ↝ A, & B. The camp guards were camping on loops A & B, w/ signage near their RV's &/or on their vehicles. Excellent fishing (sport fish include largemouth bass, white crappie, sunfish, striped bass, channel & flathead catfish, other common fish species) & other outdoor recreation.
🦌 During December, smaller animals like "Arney" the armadillo frequent the roadsides & campgrounds,🥚but haven't seen any Matagots.
⛺ Seem to be fewer campers here - more laid back than the other sites.
