Valdez RV park is convenient to walk everywhere in town and adjacent the marina. Staff were friendly and helpful. Sites are a bit tight, which is pretty common, and we didn’t have a lot of room to park our dually truck, but we run into that a lot everywhere. Didn’t use amenities, but the park itself is well maintained.
All of Mexican Hat has seen better days and I’m sure the last two years with the pandemic has taken a toll on this area of Utah. Despite the office building not appearing like an RV park office, this location is perfect as a central area to visit Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley and any other attractions. The sites are quite level, on gravel, pull through, with FHU 30 amp and a beautiful easterly Mountain View. You can walk down to the boat launch on the San Juan River right below the RV park. Jess is very friendly and accommodating, has pizza and beer and some other eats available. 7-11 is across the road with the typical and fuel. It’s extremely quiet at night here. We enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our two day excursions.
