This is a great park but they have recently changed their pricing so that the last minute people who book get rookiedooed on the price to camp. Even those booking 12 months ahead that happen to be the 36th person that day to book for the same date as others gets rookiedooed. The Park Board has decided to do “dynamic pricing” on top of a recent 10% hike in prices. Once the park starts filling up they jack up the prices for the unfortunate people booking after others. The campground is wonderfully located right on the beach but that is all they offer. No pool, hot tub, playground, or other amenities that compensate for the hikes. It is not fair to charge me one price and charge someone else, for the same dates and location, a higher or lower price. The Park board director says they’ll revisit the pricing if enough people complain so everyone planning to go please do so.
