Campsite: Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area

This is a very nice campground! We had a pull-thru site on the lake. The only issue is that the utilities are on the wrong side...not sure why the pull-thru sites are set up that way because the back-in sites are set up the right way. We were able to make it work.

The lake views are beautiful and there is a LOT of room between sites. Each site has it's own trash can (which is awesome).

We'll definetly be back!

Campsite: Tilleda Falls Campground

Let me start by saying, the roads you have to drive thru to get to the larger sites ARE NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY!!! No matter what the owners tell you. We have a 42' motorhome and it was like 'threading a cow through the eye of a needle' getting to our campsite. There are LARGE bolders and trees (and branches) along the roadway that make it extremely difficult to navigate the winding campground road.

Quiet hours are from 11PM to 8AM...but I thing that only applies to the campers. The owner was using the chain saw at 7:15 in the morning...real nice!

The setting is nice but it doesn't make up for the ridiculous way we had to get into the site.

UPDATE: I lowered my review to 1 star after the response from the campground owners.

-I didn't go into all the issues we had in my review, tried to point out the highlights and was VERY accurate in my description and photos. I'm sorry this wasn't a warm and fuzzy review but it was our honest experience!

It seems you are making excuses for everything I mentioned. Your husband's flipint attitude regarding the water issue didn't help the situation!

Campsite: Memory Bridge Campground

I'm sorry to say that the best thing about this campground is the river view. The owners are very nice and accommodating but the campground looked like a homeless camp (see photos). Maybe they are just too close to the situation to notice all the junk laying around.

There are NO picnic tables at each site, only a couple in a community area. There are no fire rings at the campsites...only one, also in the community area.

They don't have full hook-ups. There is electric, water and you can drain your 'gray' water into a french drain. The hose connector didn't work with our equipment so we just put our hose in the top of the make-shift bucket. If you want to dump your black tank, you'll have to wait for the owner to pump it out for you...that didn't work with our schedule.

This is not a quiet and peaceful campground, roads run on two sides of the property.

It looks like there are a couple of permanent campers staying on the property (in addition to the owners) that have added to the clutter. It wouldn't take much to improve the property. Cleaning up the misc. junk, remove the old worn out solar lights and games, mow and use a weed trimmer.

If you're just looking for a place to stay overnight, this would be ok but I wouldn't recommend Memory Bridge Campground for a multi-day stay.
