If I could I’d give it 100 stars. This is an amazing campground/RV place. The hosts are amazing, the views are spectacular and you are close to many fun spots to visit.
We went to Pepin and visited the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum, went to Wabasha to eat at Slipperies that was featured on Grumpy Old Men, Red Wing to buy boots and dong get me started on Nelson’s Creamery we went there every day to have a beer and appetizer.
The bath house is so clean and I’m a crazy person when it come to Cleanliness and I was extremely impressed. You can only go in bath house if you have the code. The sites are spacious. WiFi is A1.
Don’t miss out on going to Thrive Park for a wonderful hike.
Nelson is a small town but has lots of things to do and it’s a gateway to other adventures.
Thank you Will for a wonderful weeks stay. 👍🏻
Absolutely a very quiet and wooded environment. Our site was kinda funky to get into because trees and rocks are close to the road and driveway entering site. This site was recommended to us when we made the reservation but we found others that we preferred when walking around.
What thing we found very odd is that there were no bathrooms open, yes we had full full hook up and we have a bathroom and shower but at times when you are walking around or by the lake you don’t always want to walk back to your camper. Pool was closed but we didn’t care. Saw and interacted with Linda on the first day and she was very helpful and nice.
Campground is minutes away from Rhinelander and shopping and gas stations.
We would definitely go back.
