Campsite: Willow Creek Campground
Chad & Trudy are always helpful and accommodating. Grounds and the beach are well maintained.
Campsite: Thousand Trails Lake Tawakoni
Campground is suffering . Activities center are NOT open. But they do have a put put golf course, pool was not open, Only 1 small laundry on site. Very wooded, so larger rigs have trouble finding sites with fewer trees and easy in/out access. Firewood on site for purchase from an outside source needs better cuts of wood. ( old scrubby wood at $1.00 a stick) not really worth it.
Campsite: Pine Bluffs RV Resort
Cons:
No office staff, But camp host was very nice. No store as advertised, or outdoor game areas, nothing close by, but commercial businesses .The grass(weed) areas need attention as they are overgrown. Goat heads are everywhere you walk. No picnic tables to be seen. The playground area was roped off due to ( from what we could see a hazard of falling apart), Kids in the Park have nowhere to go. Granted this park is FULL of out of state worker's, but come on, take pride in your Park. Good for brief stops only. The train runs very frequently next to the park.
Pros:
On the upside, the bath house was very nicely kept up, Laundry area was OK but only 3 of the washers worked and two of the dryers. (Thank goodness we have our own)
We would only comeback heregora night stay IF nothing else were available in the area.
