This was a really fun location! Most of what we found at the pinned site was regular black obsidian and some beautiful mahogany obsidian! We only found a handful of pieces of snowflake obsidian here, but if you drive down the road a bit longer, then you’ll find a huge spot of snowflake obsidian as well as another pit that has a boatload of larger pieces of black and mahogany pieces! And this one has the actual obsidian in the wall too, so you can dig some out yourself if you’d like! The beginning of the trip was very cool, and there was cloud cover. But it got a lot more hot later in the day! Bring sunscreen, hats, tools, lots of water! It was a lot of fun! I will definitely go back once I’m done tumbling the harvest I got out there yesterday! Great spot and we only saw one other pair of people!
