Campsite: Davidsonville Historic State Park

Very nice campsites! Very clean. Good drainage (in case of heavy rains). Nice hookups. The dump station is not level, so we dumped at campsite. Rangers are all very nice and helpful. Check out visitors center and museum. All well-curated, for understanding the importance of the settlement for the area’s development.

Campsite: Cedar Creek State Park

Gorgeous Park!

We were so impressed with the cleanliness and the gardening of this park. Very peaceful. Camp was about half full. Lots of families. Beautiful creek flowing through the park. I tow a 27’ trailer. Had no problems getting it in or out. However, if you’re towing, take it slow around the corners and stay in your side of yellow line. Lots of hills to go up and down to get to park. Plan on 45 mins from freeway to the park. Map is deceiving. This park is not right off of interstate. But it is worth the drive to go there.

Campsite: Ashley/Firehole

Awesome campsite, if you love being out in primitive areas with gorgeous views. If you want comfort, look for a KIA campground. I did a hear a generator running, but they shut it off at dusk. The roads need repair, but the garbage is picked up and the park is clean. If people want more, they need to be willing to pay more in taxes or higher camping fees. I like it just way it is.
