We got so lucky because about 3 different reservations failed to show up, and we were able to grab a last minute camping spot at a beautiful national park campground. Our first time camping in a NP, and this experience turned it into a goal for the future. Everyone was so friendly, and the host was so pleasant to chat with and informative, and seemed to love to laugh. Absolutely loved sleeping under the stars, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by beauty. Waking up in the morning to go grab a coffee at the park dining hall was wonderful too - everyone seemed to have arrived that morning ready to hike while I showed up still half asleep, just taking it all in. Can't wait to do it again.
