Camped here in July for several nights when kayaking down from State Bridge. Tons of people on the river between State Bridge and Catamount. Camping is free (there is a proposed change to charge), clean pit toilets, no water, good boat ramp, good road in. We had a shady, spacious, private, river front camp site on the other side of the boat ramp. Most sites had shade. We've surely paid for camp sites offering alot less. The train blew its whistle during the night but it didn't rattle your teeth. Very nice camping.
