Campsite: Balsam (uinta-wasatch-cache National Forest, Ut)

I really wish I had taken more pictures. This was a really nice campground. It's split into 3 different sections wish essentially loops into one entire area. We got lost finding our camp site because it was actually a different entrance than where Google took us (which was the main entrance). The site where the camp host would normally stay wasn't there, so we couldn't find help in locating the number we had reserved. After about 15 minites though we finally found it. They have outhouses, which is nice when you have children. Unfortunately, it was very rank, and the smell often lingered into our campsite. We stayed the weekend, there was a marathon, and one morning, the runners overtook the toilets and left it not only a mess but unable to use for the 2 hours they prepared. That wasn't the camp's fault, though. Another downside is that the different sites are pretty close together, but our neighbors were respectful and friendly. It's worth the travel and stay, though. A nice river is nearby where you can play. There is a trail to hike on the far end. And it was the perfect getaway.
