Fun state park with great trails, boardwalks throughout the trails, beautiful foliage, lots of trees and plants. I meandered amongst the trails and walk/ran 2.5 miles. After a picnic lunch, I took the paddleboard out for three loops of the lake (.5 miles down and back). Scenic and peaceful, I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time visiting this state park for the weekend. The downpour our first night resulted in a high muddy river but that didn’t stop us from trying to fish and enjoying a bike ride. Love the boardwalk trail into town! The mission visit provided a nice history lesson for us. Easy walk or bike to Presidio down the street. We learned so much about Texas history. Goliad is a cute little town just a mile away with shops and restaurants. Definitely bring your bikes to this state park!
