Gorgeous river that's good for floating and swimming on the beach that's down a trail right of the landing. The current is pretty strong, so be sure you're able to swim upstream. Gorgeous streams scattered throughout the spot, providing crystal clear, naturally filtered water that (I tested it) is safe for drinking. The streams get covered when the river rises, though. The area floods quite a bit when it rains, large areas fill with water due to all of the clay in the soil; and tadpoles reside in some of those areas! Not so great for fishing and the mosquitoes are horrendous.
