Campsite: Spring River RV Park

Denise met us in the office and gave us tons of info for the area. We stayed 3 nights. Location is great. All gravel lots pretty level. Pretty close together. This is the first place I’ve stayed where it feels and sounds like I’m in an apartment. I think the family next to us in lot 32 had a child or kids because they were literally running back and forth all night up to midnight. It sounded like we had neighbors upstairs running around. It was the strangest thing. Has showers and separate laundry. Women’s showers did not have separate changing area . This was wide open and there’s no privacy. The drains were up along the wall and filled with hair and trash. Glad I have shower shoes. At night there’s hardly any light in there. The laundry does not have a change machine and requires quarters. $1.50 per wash and $1.00 dryer. We tried to use their WiFi but it didn’t work. We have a mobile WiFi we used but even that was slow here. Tried to connect to cable but didn’t work. I was mostly glad we had full hookups since it got cold and could use our heater rather than use our propane.

Campsite: Chapparal Campground And Resort

We went to the splash park which is a large area of lake water and beach area with inflatables. To go on everything is $10 per person which normally would be ok except the kayaks and peddle boats were all broken. The stand up boards were also hard to use as they took on a lot of water. We paid $5 for the use of those and children literally would run up and snatch them out of your hands. We did not get the chance to camp here. Based on what I could see, it definitely did not look like it was worth $68/night as the sites were very close together and smalll.
