A good place to spend the night! We booked online and came in after dark, and the camp host came over and greeted me to make sure everything was all good with the campsite. Would definitely stop in here again. The sites had water, power, and a dump area. It was also very reasonably priced.
A pretty cool area for hiking around and camping. Plentiful areas for boondocking, and if you park right you can get a very nice view of the sunrise. I definitely recommend taking advantage of the mountain right next to the spots and try your hand at doing some rock scrambling (safely of course). If that isn't your speed, walk out onto the salt flats!! We made it all the way to the top of the mountain and the view was spectacular!
Only stayed here one night but it was great! We came in a little late on a Friday. The man at the check in desk, Aaron, was very helpful and friendly. Definitely the type of person you'd want in a position like that. The sites themselves were very nice! Wooded to give a bit of privacy and provide some sound insulation. The only noise we heard at night was owls hooting. We used the dump station on the way out and they even had a little trash can for gloves which is such a thoughtful touch.
A good place to stop in. The laundry did not have a coin machine and it was a bit expensive for a campsite. $71. But that's kind of what you get with a KOA, and this specific campground probably doesn't have much control over that. They had a very clear area to register for the night if you came in after hours, which we did.
