Campsite: Clabough's Campground
This is a very nice and somewhat large RV park situated about 3/4 mile from the parkway through Pigeon Forge. It is far enough back that the road noise is not very bad. All of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. They all seemed to have a great attitude. There are 3 swimming pools, one of which includes the Lazy River that is super nice. The bathhouse inside the main building is by far the best we've encountered anywhere. It includes 13 private rooms with shower, sink and toilet. They are kept very clean.
Campsite: Jacales Camping Area — Goliad State Park
A great state park. I really enjoyed my time here. The campground near the entrance looks very good with lots of pull through sites that appear to be very good for large motorhomes.
Campsite: Amigo Inn & RV Park
Doug, that manages the park is very nice and accommodating. We met numerous nice people staying at this park. It is a basic park with not a lot of extra amenities, or at least nothing fancy. It does appear to be well maintained. The big plus here is the pleasant and laid back atmosphere. Doug adds a lot to that.
