Campsite: Clear Creek RV Park

Clear Creek Campground just outside the gate of NAS Whiting Field, near Milton, Florida. It is a small campground, with 10 full hookup RV sites. Whiting Field is a small aviation training center. The Recreation Center on base is awesome with so much to do including a private free movie theater complete with popcorn. The base has a nice small commissary. The campground offers ample space between the sites, a large Pavillion with bathrooms. There also is a small laundry room, plenty of pet walking areas and even a hiking trail.

Camping at Goodfellow AFB Recreation Famcamp, Texas for two nights. A nice park that is located off base. There are two small parks, one with shade, one with no shade. It is located on a lake, has laundry room and a swimming pool. There is a gate that closes at night. Full hookup with 30/50 amp, great water pressure. Today only 50% of sites are taken. You can make reservations. $25/night

Campsite: Mammoth Creek RV Resort

Mammoth Creek RV is not your typical RV park. First off the owner, Tim Wood is one of the finest men you will ever meet.

His RV park is on 13 acres of natural landscape land. In other words, it is totally natural, tumbleweeds and all. It is obvious, he keeps up on the maintenance. This park has free laundry and showers. It has a nice game room for the campers to meet up in, complete with a card table, Big Screen, darts and ping pong table. There is a group fire pit since there are NO fire pits or grills at the sites. It is at least a 45 minute drive to the nearest grocery store, so stock up. The park is also located on a dirt road. We are told it was graded, so I could give it a grade of D. It was bumpy, although no pot holes. The park as a basket ball goal, and a pickle ball court.

As far as my site, it was dirt/gravel. The odd thing is sites 1, 2, and 3 are "pull in" sites. So if you are towing a trailer, you will pull in, unhook, then back out over the patio area. It would be ideal for Class A RVs.

Did I Mention the dog park. It is HUGE, with nice grass. Your dogs will love it.
