No sand anywhere, just crushed sharp granite. I bet the rock was prettier before it was crushed and dumped there. Hurt my feet and knees in my tent. Ground is not suitable for a tent. Fire ring really cheesy too. Tent sites pathetically small and crammed together. No privacy at all. Seemed more like a retirement home than a place for family and friends to enjoy the great outdoors of Maine. I grew up here and can guide you to beautiful places.
