Went here for free camping but was not impressed because locals use this area for fishing and partying. Trash was left all over and fish hooks scattered all around beach as well as screws and nails. Freight train comes by regularly and some of the local fisherman are rude about cleaning their catch and leaving the remains right on the waterfront near campsites. Area is maintained by army corps of engineers but didn't see any evidence of any recent maintenance. Fishermen had open fires during burn ban with disregard to safety. There is wildlife in area but mostly come out at night. Road in to this place is rough and poorly maintained.
