Fantastic hike, phenomenal views, and amazing memories! It's not a super long hike, but once you get to the lake the views are breathtaking. This is also a great place to start a backpacking trip into the beautiful White Cloud Mountains. Definitely would recommend if you are in the Stanley area and want to get away from the business of Redfish Lake, but still want good views. There are fish, but they aren't the easiest to catch, and if catching is what you want to be doing, then going farther in to the mountains on a multi day backpacking trip is what you would want to do.
