Great place for summer adventures! I always recommend this state park for day trips. Awesome family hiking with great views on Mt. Elmore, and the beach is very clean and not overly crowded like some more popular locations in the state. The campground is very basic, but I didn't expect anything else from a $20/night tent site at a state park. The site itself was clean and secluded. There were a lot of campers but it was quiet. As others have mentioned, this campground would benefit from a playground of some sort for the kids, but at least there is the beach and hiking to keep them busy.
