Top of the world location overlooking Elk Creek valley & views all around. Only need to bring drinking water -- water is available at Comers Rock campground. Big porch. Big living room. Lots of wildlife. Hiking trails. Fishing at Hale Lake. Or relax on the porch in the sounds and sights of nature.

This is my second stay at Old Cranks. Friendliest group of guys running it. CONVENIENCE It's a few blocks from Downtown--so access to anywhere in Galax is easy (and breezy--it's a windy city--which is good in the heat of summer.) Maybe about 20 spots (pull-thru) so even when it's full, it's not overwhelming. Reasonable price for full hook-up.
