We stayed at the campground in F loop. Very quiet place. Loved our week here. Medium size campground, crazy road up here, but doable. We had warm weather in late September/Oct. Some bugs, but not awful. Not fall here yet, but it is 2000 ft elevation. Bunch of hiking trails, but nothing spectacular. Benton falls is over rated and was very congested on a Saturday afternoon. They run hounds in the woods on the weekend, lots of barking. Hosts were real nice, thanks!

Oh and the campsites in F were well spaced and private .

Quiet no hook up parking lot. Sounds unattractive, but high tides and 30 mph winds scared us off the beach, so we ended up here. Beach is still visible and audible!! Love the beach. Goes on forever here, with not many folks around end of November. Bathroom is clean. Showers are cold, no hot water period. Even though it's a parking lot, the sites are big and have picnic tables. Sites on the east side of the lot are smaller and have grills and roofs that cover the tables.

It's a long drive down here (dead end too) but worth it.

Hello hikers! We hiked from the dirt parking lot across the highway up to ski lake. It was an easy moderate hike up, only 2.5 miles sooo... We kept going up! Trail goes through valley/tundra looking bowl. Then we circumnavigate d the snow, and kept going up to the ridge! Snowy up there in late June 2023. Then we bushwhacked/snow whacked along the ridge to Philips trail and went down (finally) through another valley that eventually hooked back up to ski lake tail. Lots of trail options from this trailhead, which is probably why is gets full on weekends
