Just 38 minutes from ShowLow’s Summit Regional Hospital. Free for two weeks. Each spot has a picnic table and fire ring. Most are spacious. There’s a brick outhouse but no running water. There’s an old Ranger Station, horse barn and corral built in 1909-10. About 200ft or so behind the corral there’s a natural spring (none potable water). The rangers come through now and again. Many friendly people. Horse trails! It’s a two week stay. Totally free. Pack it in, pack it out… no trash service! Several trails, horse friendly! Dogs must be on leash. This is a very nice place well worth the trip. Enjoy!!
- Bring plenty of water. Both drinking water and clean dish washing water, etc!
- Lots and lots of tall pines! Beautiful area. Enjoy!
