My family has had a camp here for 45 years. We have seen it go from mostly tents to campers. There has been a significant increase in the number of campsites and people. Still the atmosphere we love remains.
It is an affordable camp with amenities needed to keep it comfortable. The people are friendly. The island is safe. There are always groups of kids walking around, exploring and playing. Plenty of 10mph road for them to ride bikes.
It's not the same as having your own cabin on a few acres of land, or camping with tents in the woods. But it's a far cry from the cities and suburbs of Pittsburgh. Despite the density of campsites it is peaceful.
