We stayed at Waxmyrtle July 15-17, space 28. The site was a lovely open site with plenty of sunshine all day and into the evening. Directly located across from the restroom and water. This campground was quiet most of the weekend and we enjoyed our time. It is not near the beach and the walk to the breach is beautiful but be prepared for almost 3/4 of a mile walk on dry sand.
Space 28 has plenty of room for more than one tent including a little hideaway spot. The parking pad fit two cars easily.
Chipmunks and blue jays were our min visitors throughout the weekend.
An earlier review indicated this spot had had storm clean up and lots of debris left behind however we did not run into this issue during our stay. We would absolutely return.
