We had a very nice outing at Green Lane Park. We hiked on the Orange Trail (East Loop) since we didn't know exactly what we could expect (in terms of difficulty and condition). It's an easy to medium difficulty route. It' wasn't too bad except there were some downed trees that blocked across the path in several points, and it was muddy and slippery after the overnight rain. I'd recommend a good pair of hiking shoes because of the exposed tree roots and rocks. There also are some hilly sections with rocks and roots. No strollers here. It's mainly tree covered for nice shades.
The main parking lot where the Park Office is located offers gender-free public bathrooms, decent playground, shady picnic area with grills, and access to the lake for shore fishing. There also are a rustic bungalow (available to rent) and a very nice pavilion nearby. It looked like at least one time there was a snack bar, but it wasn't open when we visited.
If you walk over the dam of the lake, you can reach another large green area with a pavilion and a large band stand where concerts are held with its own large parking lot.
You can easily spend a whole day here hiking, picnicking, fishing, cycling (Perkiomen Trail runs thru this park), etc. Enjoy!
Oh, if your GPS takes you to Snyder Road, ignore it since the bridge entrance is closed.
