The stand out experience year after year are always the Hosts. These folks are on top of things. My site was freshly groomed when I arrived: no trash and even the gravel was raked. Every day you see them walking around doing the grounds maintenance and changing out all the reservation plaques.
As for the campground, fun as always. It's rather close to the road, so Pro Tip: get one of the sites as close to the Creek as possible so the sound of the water drowns out the sound of the traffic.
The camp is situated a 2 minute walk from Two Brother's Roadhouse, where you can get a nice bite to eat. Also within a reasonable 5 or so mile drive you can find a grocery store, laundry, hot showers, gas station, charter fishing, ebike rentals and tourist shopping.
It's also a great launching off point for adventures either to Seward or to the Kenai.
