This is a LONG hike and there are no services (water, toilet, or cellular), so be sure you have everything you need. Follow the directions given by the US Forest Service to find the trailhead. *Note: The sign is NOT the trail. Follow the signs for the Ozark Trail from the parking lot. This is not a crowded trail. We loved the solitude.
This trail is not for everyone. I would not recommend it for new hikers or for small children learning to hike. Of course, you know your ability better than anyone. You can see our first hike at Happy Trails Hiking on YouTube
