This is a pretty little gem in East Texas. It’s not a huge park as far as State Parks go but it offers an outdoorsy feel. Awesome place to fish and hike and you get some beautiful colors during the Autumn season as well. I found the water to be a little too murky for my personal taste for swimming but many other people seem to enjoy it. Me and my family enjoyed hiking here mostly and I enjoyed bringing my camera out for sunsets and portraits. I saw deer and armadillo here! There is a small playground my kids enjoyed and although we never used them, the cabins look cozy and inviting next to the lake for primitive camping. Bathrooms are clean and well kept and the park is usually pretty clean. All in all a fun place to explore and spend some time if you love the outdoors. (It probably goes without saying - bring insect repellent, the mosquitos are CRAZY!!)
