My husband and I stayed at the campground and went on the Midnight Kayak Trip this past weekend and we had an absolute blast!

When I originally called to enquire about a camping spot, I explained that we preferred to hammock camp, but could definitely bring a tent if there were no spots to accommodate this (I called pretty last minute). When we arrived, the staff made sure that we were in a spot with room for our hammocks and were very helpful. The campground is extremely laid back and just an all around pleasant place. They have a shop up front with almost everything you could need including firewood, sunscreen, water shoes, etc. in case you forget anything like we did!

My husband and I are both relatively new to kayaking. I have kayaked before, but not much and never on the river. The staff warned us before the Midnight Kayaking Trip that the river was low and running slow. Being new to kayaking I panicked quite a bit when I got stuck on a sand bar or hit a rock the first few times, but as the trip went on I adapted and learned to handle the kayak better. It also helped to know that if I was stuck or having trouble, one of the guides with us was right there to help. Once we made it to the end of the trip, staff was right there to greet us and take us back to the campground! The trip was so much fun and it was an awesome experience!

Overall, we had a great time! The campground is super relaxed, the owners/staff are very pleasant and helpful, and our kayaking trip was tons of fun! You can tell just how much work the owners/staff put into this place and how much they really care about the experience that you have! We will definitely be back!
