We were there with horses for four nights in June of 2021 for an AERC endurance ride. The campground is beautiful, the owners are nice, and the riding trails are wide and easy. The place is quiet and kid-friendly, with a playground. The campsites are large and easy to maneuver for a 3 horse living quarters RV.
The pond is very picturesque. There were several people that went swimming. There is a sign about swimming at your own risk.
A friend and I rode horses one evening about 5:30 p.m. It was the only time I rode while at this campground. The huge, biting, black flies causes so much pain for us and the horses that we turned back to camp after 10 minutes of riding.
Be prepared for the biting flies before riding the trails!
