The cart in campsites are amazing. Very secluded/private! We had site D which was a bit of a hike from the parking lot. It took us 3 trips with the cart to bring everything to the site, but the carts are big and sturdy. We've always camped at drive-in sites in the past, and I gotta say, the beauty and privacy of the cart-in sites are well worth a little extra work. Ample edible berries along the trail--loads of ripe brambles and saskatoons. The mouth of the Baptism River as it flows into Lake Superior is beyond beautiful, and you can Wade in on the lake or river side of the sandbar. There was some severe weather during our visit. Our tent held up well, but it gave us piece of mind to know that the visitor center is open 24 hours in case we needed additional shelter. We can't wait to return again!
