If I had more time to spend in Kauai, and of all the beaches I looked at, this was my favorite and I would really choose this one to spend the day. There's a natural pool area from a rock bed separating part of the beach that kids and older folks can safely, and warmly, enjoy themselves in, and there was a gazebo picnic area for family events. I saw a windsurfer there as well. And chickens, of course.
