Belligerent Staff. We spend 6 months out of the year in our RV, travel a lot, and stay at a lot of KOA locations. We spend thousands annually staying at KOA and are VIP members. Normally it is a good experience, not so in Pueblo. I was jumped by the staff for taking our UTV from the RV site to the laundry facility. The UTV is street legal and insured by the way. Now, here is the problem; UTV operation being prohibited is not mentioned ANYWHERE in the rules/policies of this KOA. Apparently none of these people have every been to any other KOA location. People using UTV's to transport from their site to the laundry facility is common, so it is an exception for this to be a problem. The owner openly stated that it is not in the rules, but wanted to be sure that the staff had confronted be about it. If you are going to enforce a policy then it should be in-print in the rules, both on the website, and on what is given to the guest when they check in. This should also be told to people when they are making a reservation over the phone and at check in. Especially if their RV is a Toy Hauler! One of the staff members gave me the evil eye as they watched me drive the UTV back into the RV when we were getting ready to leave. Maybe they thought I was going to pick up the 1,300 pound RZR and set it in there.
If the owner wants to be this way about OHV's then it is their prerogative. However; it should be stated in print and up front.
