Gorgeous campground on west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. It was full, but we still felt the peace and quiet of being in the wilderness. The trees are getting taller. We were in Site 65, Loop C. Good access to the bathroom across the road and through some trees - close but not too close!
Bathrooms clean and well stocked with toilet paper and soap. Ranger really nice and helpful.
We visited in early September, and were initially disappointed that we didn't see any elk, and then as we were packing up our tent a female moose walked straight through our site! We backed away and gave her space and she ambled off through the trees. It was such a wonderful moment!
