If you like a quiet place that is out of the way then this is the place. The town of Scribner is just a few miles down the road if you need ice, drinks, food etc. I was at Dead Timber this week and the back side of the SRA at the main campground is closed so hiking to the Elkhorn River appears to be off limits. However, the rest of the SRA is open and there was an RV setup at the campsite so I assume services are operable. If you like bass fishing you can catch bass all day long on spinner baits. 8/23/20
