Travel nurses beware!!!
I have been travel nursing with my husband and dogs in my 5th wheel for 3 years and this is the worst experience we’ve ever had with a campground. When we arrived to the campground initially, the owner said in order to reserve the site we had to pay the three months in full (he did not tell us that over the phone when we requested the site). We didn’t have anything else lined up, so we had to go with it. I asked if it would be refunded if my contract was canceled and he didn’t give me a direct answer. We came to find out that if my contract was cancelled (which can happen), the campground policy is no refund, only campground credit! We found out that our neighbors were charged different rates based on what the owner wanted to charge. Plus, he did not make everyone pay in full to reserve their spots. They will promise you a site and when you arrive demand payment in full for multiple months. It’s also entirely too expensive for how run-down the campground is. This business practice is extremely unethical.
