We picked Spring Mill for a one night stay on a road trip. We glad we arrived just after 1:00. There is a lot to check out. The Gus Grissom Museum is filled with history. The early space capsule is a site to see.

We then drove down to the village. The log buildings were open and the staff were very knowledgeable. We were surprised to discover there was a distillery here. Some of the buildings were restored in 1929. - 1931.

The mill was one of the largest we’ve seen and it’s filled with historic displays.

We then checked out the Twin caves. There are more caves too. You’ll need at least a couple of days to see everything.

Our campsites were wooded and fairly level ground. The rest rooms were clean but older.
