This is a cute little family-focused property, complete with a small lake and amenities to ensure private bathroom and shower experience. The owners were very lenient with late arrivals, complete with an honor system to pay for wood, ice, and registration. The owner seemed very friendly, and had the interest of making a family-friendly camping experience. They were constructing upgrades to the main building and had areas for people to relax, including an air-conditioned recreation building and a group campfire area.
My one complaint, if any, is how close some of the camp sites were together. However, the residents were all very friendly, and I actually grew to appreciate having neighbors, and it helped us rest easy knowing we had good energy around us. The forest felt peaceful and we literally slept under the stars with our style of tent having a stargazer ceiling. Please note if you do visit, you'll need to purchase firewood on location and this is to prevent invasive species and overall nurture forest health.
If you're looking for a safe and reliable campsite to enjoy with friends and family, I'd recommend this location.
