Niland Marina is officially closed and no longer functions as a boat launch, all the former changing room and shower areas are decaying and very interesting to photograph. This beach is safe to walk on (some areas on the Salton Sea coast are too soft to safely walk to the shore). You can observe the fish bone sand and abandoned seaside attractions really easily here. There are small groups of plovers and a few seagulls hanging around too!
