The lady and I made a last minute trek to this campground at night and it was well worth it! The host Tim was extremely friendly and helpful, arrived instantly to assist and answer questions. The Sequoias were beautiful, and privacy was awesome, and the little creek at the bottom offered some soothing sounds. A few things to note below:

Signs show 90 is closed after Ponderosa, but the actual closure is after Ponderosa and Quaking Aspen, so the campground is still accessible if coming from the South.

It’s quite the drive, at least an hour from Kernville (gas, food, beer)

The campground sells ice and firewood.

The campground closes Oct 29, maybe earlier pending snowfall.

NO RVS

Was a lovely little campground, has available first come first serve sites. Will be coming back!
