HOT SPRINGS IS NO MORE. I came out here hoping to head over to the mineral hot springs. Sadly the sheriffs department destroyed it.
There is another one I heard of but was not able to make it to. It’s on all trails under Remington hot springs. It had recently been commented on saying that there is only 1 pool currently. The rest are under water.
The river is running HIGH ! Not good for swimming or tubing. But very beautiful and can kind of put your feet in.
Camp ground is clean ! Good views. Fresh water ! It tastes good too.
Lake Isabella is moments away ! Good for boating and swimming.
We went up to kernville about 15 minute drive from sandy flats. Cute little town ! We enjoyed the kernville brewery. As well as a white water rafting ride with the south sierra company.
Would love to come back when the water is a little calmer.
