Went Kayaking on small, man-made reservoir. Lots of dead trees still protruding from the water and a lot of algae in the water. Pretty place with lots of wildlife - I have seen geese, herons, egrets, eagles, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits and deer. Nice paths around the reservoir and through a meadow. Nice campground. Fun nature area and playgrounds for kids. Lots of picnic pavilions. There is a swimming beach area but lots of algae in water in August make it less appealing. Docks available for fishing and good boat launch with separate plastic launch pad for kayaks. Always a fair number of people there. There are also horse riding paths but we don't use them because we always have the dog.
