June 1, 2021 winter is over, right? Sorry! Not here. We were trying to use N99 to get to the east side of Mt St Rainier, but the road was closed due to snow. The weather was so late spring-like, it was hard to believe that the barricade was up. As the picture shows, an earlier traveler did not heed the warning and paid the price. For us it was enough to head back to the picnic area, get recharged and continue on our way to Boise Idaho.
