Very little information is available on the website and booking for the cabins is not available online. You can submit a request online for someone to call you to answer any questions and also book the cabin. I recommend calling them directly if you need immediate assistance. I submitted the request online and waited 3 days before someone called me back.

We traveled by air from Texas and our other family members flew in from Tennessee and Kentucky. We chose Lake Sawyer Resort because it was on a lake and a short drive to family members who live in Enumclaw. We rented cabin 201 and our other family members rented cabin 202, for 4 nights. We both communicated with Vickie who is an employee, not the owner/mgr.

We arrived for check in shortly after the office had closed. There is a plexiglass box on the right side of the door with a sign stating take the paperwork (resort map) with your name on it. The resort map was marked with directions to our cabin and instructions to report to the office by 9am the next day to complete check-in and pay balance owed. The cabin was unlocked and the key was on the table.

Our cabin, 201, was very outdated and worn. It was very obvious that it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. It had dirty, stained and torn carpets, cobwebs in every corner and window, dirty dusty mini blinds, hair and other debris on bathroom floor and bathtub, stains on curtains in front room and dusty ceiling fan over dining table. We found trash under one bed and a sock and trash under the other bed. The cabin had a slightly clean smell when we first entered but later discovered it was because they had placed one of those “cheap” adjustable gel air fresheners on top of the kitchen cabinets.

Our cabin was supplied with a variety of dishes, utensils, toaster, drip coffee maker, liquid hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen, dish soap, partially used roll of paper towels, dish towel, sponge, 1 kitchen trash bag, 1 bathroom trash bag and 1 partially used roll of toilet paper. When I went to the front office to request an additional luggage rack, hangers, trash bags and toilet paper I was told they do not keep extra in the cabins because they think people steal them. They gave me 2 “new” rolls of toilet paper and 3 more trash bags for bathroom and kitchen but they did not have any more hangers or luggage racks. The toilet paper and kitchen trash bags are not kept in the office. Vicki had the small bathroom trash bags but had to reach out to someone over a walkie talkie for the other items. A man, possibly one of the owners, came out of the large house next to the office with the toilet paper and kitchen trash bags. So it appears they don’t trust their employees with the supplies.

Our family that rented cabin 202 had similar issues/complaints with their cabin.

Luckily for us, our family that lived about 20 minutes from the cabins happily supplied us with lysol spray, clean towels/washcloths, blankets to cover the bedroom windows (to block light), small tables to keep the box fans and luggage off the dirty carpet, extra hangers, a small propane fire pit, 2 kayaks, fishing poles, extra outside chairs and 2 vehicles to use while we were there. We had to pay $1 a day for the extra vehicle.

The management/owners of the property, who live on site, clearly have no idea how to properly run a hospitality business. While we didn’t expect to have the same experience of a 5-Star resort we did expect the resort to provide clean accommodations with the proper amount of supplies that are needed for the length of your stay. It’s very unfortunate that this place has such terrible uncaring management/ownership because this RV/Cabin resort has the potential to offer so much more.

Positives: Beds are comfortable, nice view of the lake and short drive to family we were visiting.

Negatives: So many that overshadow the few positives.
