Very steep descent and subsequent ascent to see Indian Pictographs. Getting to the trailhead requires a high clearance 4wd vehicle with wide tires to accommodate the deep sand. This is a good place to get some time to yourself as we so only one other person. Be prepared to back up for quite a distance if you meet oncoming traffic. The views at the trailhead are fantastic. The hike requires some rock scrabbling and there is some exposure if you are agoraphobic. But, if you are healthy, in good shape, and have a good 4WD vehicle, it is a worthwhile trip.
