The area was flooded, so we could not drive on the Salt Flats. However, the water looked like a lake that served as a reflecting pond for the gorgeous mountains in the background. The views were stunning. The area with the buildings was really run-down. The bathrooms looked like they had been locked for many years. The vending machines looked like they had been empty for many years too. It is a shame that the state does not take care of this area. We were even expecting a museum or a gift shop that did not exist. This could be a tourist destination if the state would invest a little money into it.
