Be certain you can keep any reservation that you make. We tried to cancel our reservation 19 days in advance of our stay for health reasons, and the park refused to refund any of our $700 deposit! They make more $ when people cancel their reservations by selling the same space twice. Borderline fraud.
The owners offered a safe olive branch by offering to apply our $700 deposit to a subsequent stay. Not likely, when health reasons prevent any future visits to higher elevations. We gave 19 days notice of cancellation and would have been satisfied with half of our deposit refunded. If we had only booked our stay for 29 days, I guess we would have received a 50% refund. The policy is just shady, and there is no question that it's been designed in such a way as to make money on cancellations. Next stop FTC.
