This is a small park on the outskirts of Fort Davis, making it very convenient to the Fort Davis National Historic Site, Fort Davis State Park and the McDonald Observatory. A lot of good here, including full hookups: water, 50 amp service, sewer, cable TV and reasonably good wifi. Sites are OK. Smaller than most, but larger than some on gravel pads. I gave them only 3 stars because of overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the park. We arrived and our site was littered with cigarette butts, bottle caps, and a bar-b-que grill that had been left behind by a previous camper. Walking around the park, we found cigarette butts EVERYWHERE. We chose a site on the edge of the park to obtain some privacy, but because it was on the edge we also had a full view of a garbage heap and a wood pile on the adjacent property. They could easily improve with some screen fencing and an overall cleanup of the property. Pricing was reasonable at $30 per night, but keep in mind the State Park is nearby and offers the same amenities with none of the unattractive qualities. Also, Jeff and his wife were fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly, they also made every effort to make us comfortable in our site. I'm rooting for this place, with a few enhancements it could be a five star property.
